HELP 5000 Children Nutrition Kits
by SPPDINDIA
Summary
Your donation support to improve the nutritional health and overall well-being of 5,000 children aged 1 to 18 years, children from particularly vulnerable backgrounds—those with physically challenged, HIV-infected, or single parents, as well as those from families headed by destitute women, widows, or individuals struggling with alcoholism—face a range of serious nutritional and social challenges.
Challenge
These families live in extreme poverty, with limited access to food, healthcare, and education. Most families are landless and rely on irregular, low-paying agricultural or daily wage work, often affected by water scarcity that restricts farming and livelihood options. Family from overcrowded slum areas with poor sanitation and scarce resources create additional health and social risks for these children. Low literacy rates among adult’s limit job prospects, perpetuating the cycle of poverty and deepening the economic hardships they face.
Solution
To combat the nutritional deficiencies, providing nutrition kits rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals could be an impactful intervention. The funds would be utilized towards procuring the ingredients of the nutrition kits for children. The items such as Dates – 500 gms + Health Drink 500 gms + Chickpea 1 kg + Green Gram 1 kg + Red Gram 1 kg + White Chana 1 kg+ Ragi Flour 1.5 kg + Dal 2 kg.
The same set of beneficiaries shall be receiving the nutrition kits every month. As the nutrition kits are distributed to help the children counter the malnourishment and nutritional imbalance being faced by the children widely, the children need to provide with the same continuously every month.

Kanushka’s Story: A Young Girl's Resilience Amid Hardship
Kanushka’s life has been filled with heartache and challenges, but also a quiet, remarkable strength. Her father, Dhanapal, works as a car mechanic in Erode, doing his best to provide for her, but her grandmother has truly been her rock. Since Kanushka was a young child, her mother left, abandoning her and her father to build a life elsewhere. This loss left a deep scar, one that still aches each time she sees other children with their families.
With her mother gone and her father only visiting occasionally, Kanushka has grown up feeling alone. Her grandmother is her only constant, caring for her as best as she can, even though she’s aged and struggles with health issues herself. On most days, her grandmother works small jobs when she can, managing to buy essentials with the small earnings from local government programs. Kanushka often hears her grandmother say, “I am alive because of you; without you, I would have given up long ago.” Her grandmother’s words are a source of strength, but also a reminder of their difficult reality.
Kanushka tries to stay strong, but the absence of her mother and the feeling of being different from others weigh heavily on her young heart. She feels isolated, especially when other children tease her or ask questions that make her uncomfortable. Sometimes, she is overcome with anger and sadness, unable to understand why her life is filled with so much loss. Her father, though alive, seems distant, having remarried and moved on, which only adds to her feelings of abandonment.
Despite these hardships, Kanushka has found a glimmer of hope through the generosity of donors. For the past few years, the nutritional supplements they’ve provided have given her strength, both physically and emotionally. These small acts of kindness have made a big difference, helping her feel healthier and more energized. Kanushka is deeply grateful, and thanks to this support, she has hope for a better future.
With continued help, Kanushka can continue to grow, thrive, and see beyond the challenges she faces. Supporting her means not just offering nutrition, but bringing light to a young girl’s life filled with resilience and quiet courage.
Anuradha’s Story: Struggling for Stability after Tragedy
Anuradha’s life changed forever when her father, Krishnamurti, died suddenly from a snake bite while working late one night in their family’s small garden. Her mother, Muruga Valli, who works as a daily laborer in a cotton mill despite vision loss in one eye, has been left to carry the weight of the family’s survival on her own. Anuradha, now in eighth grade, and her sister Karthika, in tenth, try to focus on their studies while navigating the immense hardship that loss has brought.
Anuradha’s brother, struggling with his battles, brings additional stress to the family, often coming home after drinking, contributing little financially, and bringing conflict into their lives. Her mother, worn out from work and strained by the constant struggle to make ends meet, has little left to give. As Anuradha recalls, her father was the one who cared for her and made sure she had what she needed. Since his death, the family has struggled just to secure food. There were days they couldn’t even get basic ration rice, a stark reminder of how quickly they fell into hardship after losing him.
When we learned of the family’s challenges, they stepped in to help with support of GIVE. Monthly nutritional supplements have been a lifeline, helping Anuradha and her siblings stay healthier and more focused on their education. These supplements bring not only physical strength but also hope that their situation might improve.
Anuradha remains incredibly grateful for this support, yet she knows the journey ahead is difficult. Without consistent help, her family’s resilience will be tested daily. By supporting Anuradha, donors can help ensure that she and her sister have a chance at a brighter, more stable future.
Thanks to the kindness of the donors, Anuradha is beginning to believe that change is possible.
